Things you should know.
NONE of these oils are to
be ingested. Each drop of essential oil is very concentrated.
They work by absorbing diluted amounts through the skin,
and through the lungs dispersed through the air. Ingesting
could cause serious injury!
If you are pregnant or nursing avoid oils like Cedarwood
and Clove. Lavender is about all I would recommend.
Yes there are plenty more that you can use but stick
to the mild ones. Some oils can cause nasty things like
early labor. (And really, who needs that to come any
earlier) You need to do a little research.
NO oil is recommended to use for children under the
age of 5 other than lavender.
Uses Essential Oil Blends
Bath
Enjoy any of the Essential
Oil Blends in a bath. !0 to 15 drops in warm tub,
close the door to keep the essential oils working in
the air.
Diffuser
There are so many diffusers out there. I will let you
go to google and type diffuser in to see all the variety's
out there. For here, I will give you some simple solutions
to use without the store bought diffuser. Boil a cup
of water on the stove, pour the water into a heat safe
bowl and add 10 Drops of oil to the steaming water.
You can add a few drops to a Kleenex and sniff for a
quick change.
Massage
These oils are skin ready. For a full body massage,
I would recommend diluting the mixture in a carrier
oil. (grapeseed, sweet almond, or Avocado) before you
massage. The fragrance may be a bit much otherwise.
About 10 drops per 1 OZ carrier oil.
Perfume
Dab on your neck or wrists.
Everywhere Misters
Mist everything. :) Car, hair, body, carpet, curtains,
pillows, DON'T FORGET TO SHAKE IT FIRST!
Body dust
This stuff just rocks I use it every day. No need to
worry about talc like you find in baby poweder (not
to mention who really wants to smell like a baby all
day) shake on your hand and apply anywhere on your body
you wish to keep fresh and dry.
Descriptions.
Synergistic blend-
A synergistic essential oil blend of the correct oils
in proper proportions is considered to be greater in
total benefit than each oil working independently. The
best synergistic blend will have at least one of each
"note" A top, middle and base.
Top note- These
oils tend to evaporate faster, they tend to be light,
fresh and uplifting. They usually give the first impression
of the blend. Typically you will find these oils in
the citrus family.
Middle Note- These
oils usually give body to the blend and have a balancing
effect. It may take a few minutes to establish their
scent. They are normally warm and soft in fragrance.
Typically you will find these oils in the flower and
herb family.
Base note- These
oils are normally heavy and last the longest. These
oils will help to slow evaporation of the other notes.
They are typically rich and relaxing as well as the
most expensive. Typically you will find these oils in
the wood and resin family.
