Synergistic blend– A synergistic essential oil blend of the correct oils in proper proportions is considered to be greater in total benefit than each oil working independently. The best synergistic blend will have at least one of each “note” A top, middle and base.
Top note– These oils tend to evaporate faster, they tend to be light, fresh and uplifting. They usually give the first impression of the blend. Typically you will find these oils in the citrus family.
Middle Note- These oils usually give body to the blend and have a balancing effect. It may take a few minutes to establish their scent. They are normally warm and soft in fragrance. Typically you will find these oils in the flower and herb family.
Base note- These oils are normally heavy and last the longest. These oils will help to slow evaporation of the other notes. They are typically rich and relaxing as well as the most expensive. Typically you will find these oils in the wood and resin family

-Four Thieves Oil Lore –
**NEW! Four Thieves Oil, The Lore goes like this, In 15th century, a group of grave robbers, in order to keep themselves from contracting the plague, while robbing, they concocted a blend such as this. Once caught, they had to give the recipe up in order to lessen the sentence. Whether or not this story is true, the essential oils in this blend may help maintain health during seasons of vulnerability and are commonly used to cleanse and purify the air. Use 6 drops in a mister to cleanse counters, diffuse to purify air, diffuse in 2% water to help bites or poison oak, steam in hot water for congestion, use in a 2% dilution of carrier oil to massage into sore muscles. The scent will remind you of an incense shop or the ren fair. Warm earthy spiced tones.
